These resources were listed in an article in Best Friends magazine regarding some great folks/organizations who have set up fostering programs for pets of military personnel.  They find foster homes throughout the country for their pets while their people are deployed or are moved to a different base.  They will keep pets together, if a soldier has more than one; will keep the soldier updated about how the pets are doing, etc.
